Awful religious video day: Christian Ladies (Purity Ring On It)


One of the comments summed it up pretty nicely: Do you girls realize that no where in the Bible does it say sex before marriage is a sin? However, mocking God is a sin (Galatians 6:7). And are your outfits made of polyester? Cause that’s a sin (Leviticus 19:19). And they don’t seem very modest and the main girl had gold rings on, another sin (1 Timothy 2:9). So don’t make up rules and say they’re in the Bible while you ignore the rules that are there.

Respect and Obey Authority

As if there weren’t yet enough reasons why religion is bad, here’s another one:

Respecting your teachers and parents, doesn’t sound too bad – but other than that, it’s hard to find anything that isn’t wrong with this song:

Yeah, right. I’m sure Hitler and Goebbels would’ve been proud of them. Just don’t question anything and do as you’re told – it always worked out just fine in the past. And not just for them, for everyone! Now those are just from within the last couple decades – don’t even get me started on the times preceding that…

Which religious book will save you in a holy war?

Finally someone decided to re-visit the popular and much discussed myth of which religion will save you in an upcoming holy war. Namely, by stopping a bullet.

In related news: Arab and African nations successfully managed to get the United Nations to remove the reference to “sexual orientation” from a resolution condemning unjustified executions. (Reuters link) The vote passed with 79 in favor and 70 against with 43 abstaining or being absent.
